One Time Initial Synchronization smartLookup will download all Plaxo Contacts to your mobile phone during  initial or 'slow' synchronization. During this operation the data network connection is used the most, however, this operation only needs to be performed once per Plaxo folders setup.

Fast Subsequent Updates smartLookup  will only download changes to your Plaxo Contacts during subsequent 'fast' synchronization sessions. Only recent changes will be pushed through wireless data connection during these operations.
