Supported phones

No two mobile phone models are the same: the screen sizes are different, Java implementations are different, amount of memory and data capabilities are different. Although Java has been developed to be platform-independent, it is different between mobile phone manufacturers.

smartLookup SHOULD work on any Java-enabled (J2ME) mobile phone which supports MIDP 2.0 and CLDC 1.0, has data capability and built-in storage. In reality we have to create slightly different versions for each and every phone.

Please review the list below to find out if your mobile phone is supported. If not, try the generic version, or consider becoming a beta-tester of smartLookup on a new model of mobile phone.

smartLookup has been tested on the following phones:

Motorola

  • Moto RAZR V3
  • Moto RAZR V3i

Samsung

  • Samsung A707 SYNC
  • Samsung A717
  • Samsung A727

Sanyo

  • Sanyo Katana (no dial)

Windows Mobile

  • Windows Mobile devices (via IBM MIDP2 emulator)
